Single plot located in Anjou. Soils of clayey-sandy silts on a sandstone and schist base. Oceanic climate. Vines are about sixty year old vines. Viticulture respectful of life, second year of organic conversion.
100% Grolleau Noir. Manual harvest, carbonic maceration, spontaneous alcoholic and malolactic fermentations. Ageing in vat for 6 months. Non filtered.
A incredibly perfumed wine that’s like a field of brambles. Wild berries, fresh red berries and delicate black berries create a layered mix of fruit, violets and vibrant flowers lift the fruit as subtle notes of bark and pencil shaving add depth. Soft on the palate with light floral, fine tannins.
Ideal with tangy, fresh dishes and salads, great goats cheese and charcuterie and it’ll even pair with some meaty fishe dishes too.
