D.O. Valdeorras, Spain.
Adegas Terrae was born in 2017 and aims to raise the prestige of Galician wine around the world by following the latest trends and offering affordable luxury in each bottle. It takes its name from the Latin term terrae, meaning earth or land, which they love and owe so much to for being the cradle of their wines. They seek to run away from the traditional winery image with the aim of developing a new products that go above consumer expectations.
Grapes from this come from the Valdeorras D.O. which has a drier climate than the rest of Galicia. It is located between 300m and 700m altitude which suits Godello well. It’s a very sensitive vine that adapts very well to dry soils so good drainage is key and guarantees exceptional efficiency and maturation. Godello is the queen of the white grapes in Valdeorras.
Only the best bunches of Godello are used. There isn’t much on the winemaking but we know that it is a modern winery and modern techniques are applied.
Intense aromas, complex and elegant on the palate, well structured- it’s a stand out wine showing persistence, freshness and a long aftertaste. You’ll find notes of notes of green apple, apricot and quince as well as fresh mint and eucalyptus.
Ideal with fish, rice and pasta, white meat and soft cheeses or as an aperitif!
