Bodegas Tradicion Fino Sherry

In 1650 Pedro Alonso Cabeza de Aranda y Zarco founded Bodegas CZ, considered the oldest winery on record and re-founded under the name of Bodegas Tradición CZ.

In 1998 Mr. Joaquín Rivero re-founded Bodegas CZ under the name of Bodegas Tradición CZ. In his eagerness to recover his family’s historical links with wine and the world of winemaking, he acquired an old building in the historic centre of Jerez and began to select wines from old, exceptional, but almost forgotten, soleras.

In 2005 the Bodegas Tradición art gallery was inaugurated in the very heart of the winery. It is one of the best private collections of paintings in Andalusia, We are the only winery in Jerez that is dedicated to producing very old sherry wines certified as VOS* and VORS** by the Regulatory Council, parameters that allow consumers to identify genuine gems.  Only 0.2% of the wines produced in Jerez obtain this seal, as compliance with the necessary standards is very strict and demanding.  Our wines are a reference for each of the styles of Jerez. 

FINO

This is a fully matured wine from the criaderas and soleras system typical of Jerez. Made from 100% Palomino fino grapes, it is aged under “velo de flor” (a local yeast coating) in American oak casks for an average of 10 years.  This is a rare breed of fino; pure, authentic, and traditional. Bottled twice a year, in spring and autumn.

Limited and numbered production of only 3900 bottles per saca (two per year).
