Made from an equal blend of Grenache and Syrah grapes.The grapes are left in contact with skins on toextract colour and tannins for around two weeks,ageing takes place in older barrels to impart only touches of oak and allows the lightly spicey berries to develop.
Aromas of red fruits (mainly morello cherries) and spices (liquorice, grey pepper). Tannins are firm and silky and the wine has a great structure.
Try with stronger semi hard cheeses or game terrine with red onion pickle as Chef Anne Sophie Pic matches.
The wine is a collaboration with Anne-Sophie Pic and Michel Chapoutier.
