MORE INFORMATION
Producer
Nestled between the Loire and the Thouet, Pierre-Adrien`s vineyards covers approximately 35 hectares, on which Vignoble Vade have cultivated the 2 flagship grape varieties of the region for 3 generations: Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc. Pierre-Adrien is the son and grandson of winemakers and has had a stong interest in winemaking from a young age.
Viticulture
The terroir is dominated by clay-limestone soils, rich in tufa, which absorbs heat during the day and releases it back to the vines at night. Currently in conversion to organic and will be certified vintage 2021. Grapes for this wine come from 25Ha of 30 years old vines.
Winemaking
100% Cabernet Franc which is vinified in stainless steel vats before it’s aged for six months in old oak to add texture.
Taste
With light and fruity notes, this traditional cuvée will please many. An elegant balance of redcurrants, earth, cloves and a touch of liquorice.
Food Pairing
A versatile wine, it’s perfect with cured meats as well as being a red you can pair with grilled fish.
