Hedgerow fruits, plum jam, just baked figs, cola. There’s a whiff of smoke and tantalising black tea, with white pepper, clove and cinnamon. Juicy and succulent palate – a beautifully composed and balanced wine – it’s almost like being out in the vineyards, glass in hand!

MORE INFORMATION
Producer
As a vine nursery field man, Andrew Jones has spent many hours exploring vineyards, planning, planting, and chatting with farmers all over the Central Coast. He began spotting more and more interesting and overlooked vineyards – often rocky, wilder sites located closer to the Pacific, farmed mindfully by clients who have become friends over many years. Wonderwall is his range produced from these very sites – extreme coastal sites, and wines made to be enjoyed.
Winemaking
Partially de-stemmed upon arrival. 15-35% stem inclusion in the open top fermenter depending on the vineyard block. Aged in 100% French Oak with 15% new from various coopers. (Seguin Moreau, Francois Frere, Meyrieux)
Taste
An excellent cool climate Pinot. The primary flavours of black cherries, plums are balanced with a hint of black currant. This is rounded off with the subtlety and complexity we have come to expect from Andrew Jones’ Field Recordings Label – a hint of smoke, a touch a of tobacco and some pine.
