The Deschamps family distillery is situated in the heart of the Pays d’Auge region on a 150 hectare estate, of which two thirds are planted with small, bitter sweet apples which are perfect for making Calvados. They have six stills, both pot and column to produce fresh, vibrant and above all, fruity Calvados from specially selected, small, bitter sweet apples.
Although both pot and column produced Calvados are matured separately, Henry de Querville Calvados is a blend of the two. Producing a spirit with the subtilty of pot still Calvados and the body of column distillate.
A rich, perfumed Calvados from Henry de Querville. The nose is nutty, with toffee-like aromas and hints of marzipan. Stewed fruits, sandalwood, peppermint and custard on the palate. Nutty, sweet finish. Very spicy.
