A long family history of growing Nebbiolo grapes coupled with a great appreciation for the soil of Barbaresco underpins the qualities of the wine made by Cantina del Pino. They make our wines out of the classic Piedmontese grape varietals: Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto.
100% Nebbiolo grown near the towns of Barbaresco & Neive. Vineyards have an eastern or western exposure and are 250-300m above sea level. Soils are calcareous limestone with sandy veins
Destammed grapes. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature. Duration of skin contact approx. 7 days. Malolactic fermentation completed in steel tanks. 9 months in steel tanks.
A well balanced wine that’s both fresh and complex with rich fruit tones of red berries and cherries and fine tannins. A hint of violet too. Think of it as Barolo’s little brother.
