The Bloody Mary is one of the most iconic and well known cocktails on the planet. But for most, there’s only one time you’ll ever drink it and that’s as a reviver from the big night out the evening before. Maybe one on a late Sunday morning/early afternoon to fend off the hangover. A second? Not for most people. So it feels such a shame that such an amazing drink should be sidelined in such a way.
The idea was simple: we love the flavour of a bloody mary, but its that pesky tomato juice that makes it such a claggy and marginalised drink. So let’s get rid of it. Deconstruct the drink to it’s elements. Distill them. And then reconstruct it.
So in collaboration with our favourite distillery, Sheffield based Locksley Distillers, we hunkered down with John and Cynthia in their Flavour-Lab and after months of mixing, concocting, and sampling we finally nailed it!

43%
70cl
StarmoreBoss Bloody Marytini
Ingredients
60ml Bloody Mary Vodka Co-Lab
10ml Cocchi Torino Extra Dry Vermouth
A good quality Manzanilla Sherry
Method
If possible, put your serving glass (a Martini coupe should you have one but any utilitarian small tumbler will do) into the fridge or preferably the freezer for a short time before making the drink.
Pour a small amount of a good quality Manzanilla Sherry into your serving glass. Swill it round so it coats the glass very generously and tip away any excess.
Add the Vodka and Vermouth into a mixing glass with plenty of ice. Stir continuously for between 30 and 40 seconds.
Strain the Martini into your serving glass.
