Located in Pembroke, Christian Co. KY, MB Roland Distillery was founded by Paul & Merry Beth (“MB”) Tomaszewski in 2009 as Kentucky’s first completely “grain to glass” craft distillery of modern times. Paul uses local white corn to hand make each of their products and all MB Roland whiskies are pot still distilled to 110 proof, entered into the barrel at distillation proof, then bottled un-cut and unchill filtered.
A delicious wheat whiskey created using locally grown red winter wheat, white corn and malt. Pot distilled and uncut and unfiltered at distillation and barrel proof. This wheat whiskey is full bodied and full of flavour.
MB Roland Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey is created in the style of a Pre-Prohibition whiskey, uncut, unfiltered and bottled at distillation and barrel proof bottled after a minimum of 2 years. The result is a unique, very full flavoured whiskey that typically ranges between 105-115 (52.5-57.5 ABV). Each batch is a blend of 5 – 10 barrels, each bottle is hand labeled, numbered and individually proofed.
Tasting notes: fresh bread and brown sugar, sorghum syrup and sweet cocoa.
Mash Bill: Red Winter Wheat 69%, Corn 26%, Malted Barley 5%
