Julia & Josef, a young couple who are only on their third vintage but showing impressive maturity.
The grapes come from the Mollands region of Kamptal. There are varied soils here, though they tend to be richer than in a lot of their other plots, have better water retention, and hence tend to give higher yields but also more concentrated grapes. Mainly gravel, sand, and a bit of loam and clay.
The grapes arrived and were whole bunch pressed (no maceration). Both varieties were fermented together in steel tanks, and remained in steel for 8 months prior to bottling. Unfined, unfiltered, tiny sulphite addition.
