Very fresh, zinging with lively citrus acidity, notes of tropical fruits and minerality, giving the wine a lovely balance.
PEMO tells the story of Abruzzo – two distinctive native wines whose characteristics are symbolised by the original drawings on the label. PE – Pecorino and MO – Montepulciano, both varieties have been grown in Abruzzo since 200 AD. Pecorino is one of the fastest growing Italian whites, and PEMO is a great example of the grape.
Leading consultant winemaker, Stefano Chioccioli, a friend and colleague of Stefano Girelli for many years, uses the best possible indigenous grapes to create wines with great quality and individual character. Grown on hillside’s, all above at least 300 meters to preserve the grapes natural freshness. The wine is left on its lees for 120 days to add complexity to the finished product.
