A single cask hand selected by the team at StarmoreBoss.
StarmoreBoss notes:
“It’s unusual to find this style of Fiji rum, usually they’re quite fruit forward, soft and squishy, like a bouncy ball. But this it very different, quite high ester and punchy with more in common with the delivery of a Jamican Pot Still. You still get all that tropical fruit but its all plussed up and maxxed from the finish in that Ironroot Bourbon Cask. A complete contrast to the Guatemala that we selected. It’s really unique and nothing like anything else out there. Certainly an after dinner dram and one that’s going to reward experiments in Tiki cocktails”
Plantation Rum Tasting notes:
Nose : Soft and spicy with vanilla and honey, with fruity and estery notes of varnish, banana, pear, dates, figes and also almond.
Palate : Rich and woody on citrus peel, apricot jam and quince with pecan, ginger and cocoa.
