The notoriously difficult to grow Arneis grape was rescued from the verge of extinction in the late 20th Century and has found a home in the rolling hills of Roero. Here it responds incredibly well to the region’s unique light and sandy soils, which help the grapes retain acidity and structure to balance the floral, fruity profile.
“Known as the ‘little rascal’ of Piedmont, the troublesome Arneis grape combines delicate floral aromas with punchy pear and apricot flavours, with a flash of exotic spice.”
