Vineyards: The grapes for the Silice come from various vineyards located in the Amandi and Doade regions in Ribeira Sacra, on the steep slopes leading into the river Sil. The variety of soils, ranging from granite to schist, give this wine a lovely roundness, expressing each locale’s influence.
Vinification: The grapes were fermented on indigenous yeasts in large format old wood. Macerated for 7-10 days with 30% whole bunch, underwent long fermentation with no temp control. 9 month aging on lees in foudre, minimal sulphur added before bottling. Unfined, unfiltered.
