Producer

Bodega Pinoso set up in 1932 and has extended over the years to allow for new producers. Currently, at least half of the vineyards are ecological. They are a cooperative winery near town of Pinoso giving growers the means to make their own wine and allow them to sell grapes to make wines.

Viticulture

This is from the Vergel family based DO Alicante, South East Spain. It’s a coastal region which benefits from a Mediterranean climate.

Winemaking

A blend of organic Monastrell, Allicante Bouschet and Merlot. Only the best are selected and each are vinified separately. The grapes are also harvested early to avoid over ripeness and special selected yeasts are used to support the fruit character. A short maceration period stops the over development of tannins leaving the beautifully balanced fruit and soft tannins.

Taste

Juicy red and black fruits with floral aromas. Rounded, warming and easy to drink.
